Dear Harbor Community:

It is with equal parts humility and excitement that I take the helm at Harbor High School this year. As many of you may know, I taught English, History and American Studies at Harbor from 1994-1999. I am very pleased to be returning after seven years working as a supervisor for student teachers at UCSC and then three years as Assistant Principal at Santa Cruz High School.

Harbor High School is a special place in a special town. There have been many changes in the last few years at the school, most visible is the renovation of the campus; the grounds are beautiful making the campus feel like a community college to many. The beauty of the campus aside, a school is judged by how well it serves its students. Harbor High staff is committed to serving our students and the community.

Our students form a diverse and talented community and the school is a center for the central part of Santa Cruz. Harbor High teachers and staff are dedicated, caring and creative. Parents continue to support the school in all of our efforts and are a mainstay of our community.
